11-year old Yula lives with her mother, her friends and many others on the biggest junkyard in Europe, 20 km outside the center of Moscow.
Oscar-nominated director Hanna Polak follows Yula’s life for a period of 14 years, while she is trying to survive between garbage alcohol and cigarettes. Although Yula has seen more misery than most adults will ever come across, she still dreams and hopes that one day fate will take her away from the junkyard.
Polaks peotic and painful images also write a different, very personal chronicle of Putins Russia.
