Fatal breakout from the golden cage

From the outside, Anne seems to lack nothing: she has a functioning marriage, has two lively twin daughters, a luxurious house with a large estate and a job that gives her appreciation. As a lawyer, she looks after children and young people who have been victims of violence and abuse. However, an undefined discontent sprouts in Anne, which breaks the ground for the first time in a boring dinner with friends. One day, her rebellious stepson Gustav moves in and draws Anne’s attention. More than that. At night she sneaks into his room and seduces the 17-year-old. A passionate, secret affair begins. When this threatens to blow up, Anne does everything she can to ensure her comfortable life.

Trine Dyrholm, Denmark’s most successful actress, shines as a cool seductress in this provocative melodrama, which has received numerous awards and an Oscar nomination and forces viewers to take a stand and question their own convictions.
