Private ambulance operations in Mexico City at night

With nine million residents, Mexico City is one of the largest cities in the world. It’s hard to believe that there are only 45 offical ambulances here. This shortage has spawned an ethical controversial industry of privately operated emergency vehicles. The Ochoa family also listen to the police radio every night. Under the leadership of 17-chairman Juan, the father and his sons also bring injured people into the hospitals who cannot affort the transport. In addition to the claim to help, adrenaline also plays a role in night races for the fastest arrival at the scene of the accident. But the sallery is low, also because the corrupt police gets a part.
For six months Luke Lorentzen accompanied the Ochoa family on their night trips in a broken system.
